Rhonda Peterson was born in 1966 in Tacoma, Washington. She was raised
and currently resides in the Pacific Northwest. She first realized her artistic talent in the 6th grade when
completing art projects her teacher assigned. She began with pencil sketches, learning
shading and highlighting techniques. Using thesetechniques and attention to detail, she
discovered her gift of bringing both people and objects to life in her drawings. In later years she took painting classes
with Bill Connant, Jon Otis, and Suzie Butler. But it was painting with oils that captured her heart and she continues
to take classes with Madeline Jones.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Rhonda has developed an appreciation for the beauty of nature and healthy
living. She enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and just being outdoors. Her newest interest is in the “green
industry” and she is currently studying biomimicry. She strives to live in harmony with nature and with herself. Her ongoing quest is searching out truths about herself and the world around her. She
accomplishes this through her paintings.
